Social Media & Blogging: Reaching Clients and Prospects Online

If you’re not involved in social media today, then you’re not reaching clients and prospects where they want to be reached.

I launched Echo from the Buttes, a blog dedicated to Arizona State sports, in August 2008. By November, the site averaged over 1,000 visitors per week. This was achieved through SEO tactics that multiplied daily traffic tenfold, syndication agreements with KTAR and Fanster, and involvement in social media—including Facebook, Myspace and Twitter.

When Echo from the Buttes ceased operations in March 2009, the community included 75 e-mail subscribers and 350 social networking followers.
